Science Fair 2009

Just last night, I was invited to view the middle schoolers science fair projects. Erin & her friend Callie had projects on display. After walking around the gym looking at the student displays, I was most impressed; especially with Erin & Callie's projects!

For All of My "Techie" Friends

Dear Tech Support,
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.
In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1.
Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.
Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.
What can I do?
Signed,
Desperate

DEAR DESPERATE,
First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update.
If that application works as designed, Husband1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5. However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.
Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)
In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.
In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend: Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.
Good Luck !

No Time

As you can tell, I'm lagging in my blog posts. School started back up, I'm trying to get to the gym, & cook every night, too. I'm short on time, but I'll try to post something interesting as I find time.
Hugs,
Paula

It's That Time of Year, Again!

In the words of Ryan Seacrest, "Welcome to Aaaammmerican Idol!" Yes, indeed. It's back for, I believe, the 8th season! It's going to be interesting with the addition of a new judge... Kara Dioguardi. She seems to be pretty honest, and has a new, fresh perspective on the talent (or lack thereof). One particular situation she was involved with was on Tuesday night's episode where "bikini girl" tried out. At one point Kara was demonstrating how the girl's chosen song should have been sung, and the girl mouthed off. In Kara's parting comment to the bikini girl, a tossed aside of 'Sing naked next time' she gave us a glimpse of potentially deadly force to come, with an edge that could inject a new energy into the show. I just love her!

In Tara & Heather's Honor... Presenting FRED

I was browsing a newly discovered (by me at least) website where videos are posted in HD. It's called Vimeo. While eating lunch today, I decided to search for scrapbooking videos and ran across this one by a group called "Paperclipping" about the F.R.E.D. I cracked up laughing because my friend Tara just got a F.R.E.D. and is totally in love with it... so much so that she could be a great spokeswoman for the F.R.E.D. We were at a crop a couple of weeks ago, where Tara used her F.R.E.D. We joked with her about how her husband may get jealous about her new love affair with F.R.E.D. After watching this little video, now I know what the acronym stands for. Heather, you can get your very own F.R.E.D. now if you'd like!

Happy New Year

We started 2009 with a party at our house. Firecrackers were fun, but the real highlight of the party was the Guitar Hero World Tour Band. With Zack on the guitar (he's phenomenal!), the rest of us took turns at the drums, bass, & on the mic. The only regret is that we didn't get to play longer!
