Beautiful Girl (if I do say so myself!)

Babysitting Business for Erin

Well Erin may finally be approaching the age where she can actually take on real babysitting jobs. She asked me to help her to create a flier that she could distribute around the neighborhood. It has been so long since I took babysitting jobs that I had a hard time helping her. While in Target today, I ran across the perfect resource. It was called the Babysitter's Business Kit, and it fit the bill. This great little kit provided business cards, tips, and a handbook with great info. I hope Erin has as much fun learning how to be a great babysitter as I did when I was in middle school!

Jupiter Parade 2008

Erin and her dance team were invited to walk/dance in the Jupiter Parade in downtown Baton Rouge Saturday night. We were all very enthusiastic, until we realized how very cold it was going to be. The girls were good natured, but danced very little. They were trying to stay warm and to keep smiles on their faces. The crowds were polite (as far as Mardi Gras crowds go), so other than the cold weather, it was lots of fun. Dylan and WD spent father-son time while I walked with Erin. They ended up catching lots of beautiful beads and even toys.

Gonzales Christmas Parade 2007

We waded through many people to get to see our girl march and cheer in the Gonzales Christmas parade... she was great! Of course, when Ms. Stacie and I began hollering her name, she hid beneath her pompoms... I know, we can be so embarrassing sometimes. Once we saw Erin, we were ready to go... it was so warm. I can't believe this is December weather.

Braces

Erin got her braces today. 9:30 we were at Dr. Kiebach's office. It took 2 and 1/2 hours... 4 brackets fell off and had to be adhered to her teeth again with a special type of adhesive. She never complained, but boy did it look uncomfortable with a huge nasty-looking mouth spreader. She looks more like a teenager with the braces although she's only 11!
